What FACT Means to Northeastern University
The Faculty-Advisor Communication Tool (FACT) has many intertwining goals.
Among them are the following:
- To assist faculty in identifying, at an early
stage, those students who are experiencing academic difficulty, so that
the students can get the support necessary for their success
- To assist advisors in providing the right
information and the right tools to help students succeed academically
- To allow advisors to provide faculty with
feedback from the students about whom they have submitted FACT cases
- To insure that students are meeting with their
faculty and/or advisors for academic assistance
- To provide the University with a mechanism
to monitor student academic performance, attendance, and retention
- To provide students with an early indication
of their progress in specific academic courses
- To assist in NCAA compliance regarding student
athlete academic performance
- To increase student success
