FACT
Advisor Support

FACT will help advisors to identify students who may be at risk, to provide specific academic feedback to students, and to record student meeting information.

Advisors will be able to view all FACT cases submitted for a student on one convenient screen. For each class from which a case was issued, advisors will see both the course information and the date that the warning was submitted. Advisors will be able to access information the faculty have submitted regarding students for whom they are responsible. Advisors will also be able to see specific comments a faculty member may have made regarding the student’s performance. These comments are not given to the student but are intended for discussion during an advising meeting.

Advisors will have the opportunity to update the FACT system with advising-meeting information. Advisors can select from a list of advisor actions that include:

  • Referred to Career Services
  • Discuss GPA impact (W, F, D, etc.)
  • Referred to tutoring

Advisors can indicate that a contact with the student has occurred, and can notify faculty about the results of the meeting.
