Provides an introduction to University resources, academic programs in the
health sciences, and the Academic Common Experience (ACE) objectives. Group
activities and individual assignments help students adjust to life on an urban
campus, develop a better understanding of the learning process, acquire
essential academic skills, and make connections with faculty and students in
the college. Enhances students' understanding of self and the decisions they
make academically, socially, and spiritually, as a member of the University's
diverse, multicultural community. Prereq. Freshman in Bouv College of Health
Sciences.

Managing and Leading in Health Policy and Administration

Provides an opportunity to assess and develop interprofessional critical
thinking through an ethical and legal view of management and leadership in
health care. Demonstrates a strong connection between managing and leading and
the effect of decision making on health policy and administration in facilities
and neighborhoods where health-care providers work. Prereq. Junior standing
or above.
