American Sign Language

No major-specific requirements for the following major and combined major programs:

  • American Sign Language
  • American Sign Language and human services
  • American Sign Language and psychology
  • American Sign Language and theatre

Asian Studies

No major-specific requirements for the Asian studies major.


Criminal Justice

No major-specific requirements for the following major and combined major programs:

  • Criminal justice
  • Criminal justice and political science
  • Human services and criminal justice

Cultural Anthropology

No major-specific requirements for the following major and combined major programs:

  • Cultural anthropology
  • English and cultural anthropology

Economics

No major-specific requirements for the following major and combined major programs:

  • Economics
  • Economics and business administration
  • Economics and mathematics
  • Economics and philosophy
  • Environmental studies and economics

English

No major-specific requirements for the following major and combined major programs:

  • English
  • Cinema studies and English
  • English and cultural anthropology
  • Linguistics and English
  • Media and screen studies and English

History

No major-specific requirements for the following major and combined major programs:

  • History
  • Environmental studies and history

Human Services

No major-specific requirements for the following major and combined major programs:

  • Human services
  • American Sign Language and human services
  • Human services and criminal justice
  • Human services and international affairs

International Affairs

Any student with an overall GPA of 2.750 or higher may transfer into the following majors, waiving the requirement for specific courses:

  • International affairs
  • International affairs with concentration in Middle East studies

Students with GPA of 2.000–2.749 must complete the following course with a grade of B+ or better:

INTL 1101 Globalization and International Affairs (4 SH)

Additionally, they must complete two of the following three courses with a grade of B+ or better:

ANTH 1101 Peoples and Cultures (4 SH)
HIST 2211 World History since 1945 (4 SH)
POLS 1160 International Relations (4 SH)

These guidelines also apply to the following combined majors:

  • International affairs and anthropology
  • International affairs and economics
  • International affairs and religious studies

Jewish Studies

No major-specific requirements for the combined major in Jewish studies and religion.


Languages, Literatures, and Cultures

No major-specific requirements for the following major and combined major programs:

  • Spanish
  • Cinema studies and languages, literatures, and cultures
  • Languages, literatures, and cultures and international affairs

Philosophy

No major-specific requirements for the following major and combined major programs:

  • Philosophy
  • Cinema studies and philosophy
  • Economics and philosophy
  • Environmental studies and philosophy
  • Physics and philosophy

Political Science

Any student with an overall GPA of 2.500 or higher may transfer into the political science major and its combined majors, waiving the requirement for specific courses.

Students with GPA of 2.000–2.499 must earn a minimum grade of B– in two political science courses, at least one of which must be from the following list:

POLS 1150 American Government (4 SH)
POLS 1155 Comparative Politics (4 SH)
POLS 1160 International Relations (4 SH)

These guidelines also apply to the following combined majors:

  • Political science and business administration
  • Political science and communication studies
  • Political science and economics
  • Political science and international affairs

Religious Studies

No major-specific requirements for the following major and combined major programs:

  • Religious studies
  • Jewish studies and religion

Sociology

No major-specific requirements for the following major and combined major programs:

  • Sociology
  • Media and screen studies and sociology
