The interdisciplinary program in Early Intervention (EI) is now available to a small number of Psychology majors. The concentration leads to certification as an EI specialist.
This program consists of four courses and a practicum (fieldwork). Two of the courses and practicum are taken fall of the senior year, and two courses, and practicum, spring of the senior year.
Students must apply and be admitted to the program junior year, prior to enrolling in the first CAEP Early Intervention course. A major GPA of at least 3.0 in Psychology courses is required.
For more information about Early Intervention courses, see the concentration’s webpage. Students interested in learning more are encouraged to meet with Professor Nancy Snyder in the Psychology department. (Please call the Psychology Department office at 617-373-3076 to schedule an appointment.)
