The Department offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. It also offers in conjunction with other programs several Combined Major degrees, as well as a Minor in Psychology. The Combined and Minor degrees are described in separate sections.
The Bachelor of Science degree curriculum is constituted of Psychology courses, a cluster of Psychology-related courses, and the Northeastern Core requirements. The Psychology Department requirements consist of 17 courses: A foundation course, followed by choices in topic area courses (from the fields of biological, cognition, abnormal, developmental, social and personality), research courses (including statistics, stand alone laboratory courses, and optional faculty mentored research experiences), a capstone topical seminar, psychology electives, and an interdisciplinary cluster of courses that encourages students to pursue linkages between psychology and other disciplines A more detailed outline of the curriculum is provided in the Major section.
