Congratulations to Paul Condon, one of our graduate students, on his recent grant!
The grant is a 1440 Award from the Mind and Life Institute, provided through a partnership with the 1440 Foundation. This program is designed to promote projects specifically geared towards the investigation of the real-world results of contemplative practice (e.g., mindfulness and compassion based meditation).
Paul’s research, which this grant will support, is particularly interested in how contemplative practice can promote daily well-being and healthy social relationships. He uses a variety of measures, including self-reported subjective experience, psychophysiology, and behavioral outcomes to assess the impact of meditation in these domains.
Good work, Paul!
