Richard Melloni

I am a fourth-year graduate student working in Dr. Melloni’s lab. Currently, I am examining the neurobiology of aggression and anxiety using Dr. Melloni’s anabolic/androgenic steroid (AAS) -induced aggressive hamster model.  Using a combination of behavioral pharmacology, immunocytochemistry, and electrophysiological methods, I am trying to identify structures and also correlate the activity of neurons in the anterior hypothalamus that underlie aggressive and anxious responding with behavior after developmental exposure to AAS in the adolescent hamster.
