I am a second-year graduate student working towards a behavior neuroscience PhD in Dr. Brenhouse’s lab. My undergraduate research involved working on the Drosophila model of Parkinson’s disease (PD) and studying the interaction between the protective effects of nicotine and caffeine against paraquat induced neurodegeneration and early death, and Drosophila gene expression variation. My current research interests include examining and comparing the trajectories of stress-induced inflammation in juvenile, adolescent and adult developmental stages of normal and ELS (early life stress)-induced mice. I am also interested in studying the relationship between ELS and the etiopathogenesis of neurological diseases such as PD.
