I am a fifth-year graduate student working with Lisa Feldman Barrett. Before starting the graduate program, I worked in the IASLab, where my research focused on the intersection of affect and vision. Using techniques from vision science (such as binocular rivalry and continuous flash suppression), we ask, “Does the affective state of the perceiver influence what they see? Does the affective value of an image change how it is perceived?” While in graduate school, I hope to explore social/moral questions such as what determines when we trust, cheat, or cooperate.
