Research

I am a third-year graduate student working towards a Ph.D. in Psychology with a focus in behavioral neuroscience. My research in Dr. Rebecca Shansky’s Laboratory of Neuroanatomy and Behavior focuses on sex differences in how fear behavior is represented in the brain. Specifically, I am interested in the effects of ovarian hormones and catecholamines, such as dopamine, and how they may modulate the function and structure of the brain. I investigate these interactions using behavioral, immunohistochemical and electrophysiological techniques.
