PROTECT welcomes new personnel

We would like to welcome the newest members of the PROTECT community!

Dr. Matias Mudarra, a Postdoc Associate and karst hydrogeologist, Victor Vargas, a graduate student in Environmental and Water Resource Engineering, and Maraida Balager, an undergraduate in Chemical Engineering, are new trainees working with PROTECT Project 4 leader, Dr. Ingrid Padilla at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez.

Dr. Ljiljana Rajic, a Postdoc in Chemistry, is a new trainee working with PROTECT Project 5 leader, Dr. Akram Alshawabkeh at Northeastern University. Dr. Xue Yu, a Postdoc working in Civil and Environmental Engineering, is a new trainee working with both Dr. Alshawabkeh, as well as PROTECT Core D leader, Dr. David Kaeli at Northeastern University.

Juan José Cintrón and Manuel Muñiz Perez are new PROTECT staff working with Dr. Jose Cordero in the Graduate School of Public Health at the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Science Campus.

Habib Bravo-Ruiz, a graduate student in Geology, is a new trainee working on PROTECT Project 4 with Dr. Dorothy Vesper at West Virginia University.
