Veterans Day Ceremony
Northeastern University observes Veterans Day at the
Veterans Memorial on campus. President Joseph E. Aoun welcomed Secretary of
Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, the guest of honor. Other speakers included
President Aoun, Student Veterans Organization President Michael Trudeau and LTC
Blaise Gallahue. Three Dog tags were added to the memorial wall for alumni.

D’Amore-McKim Naming Ceremony
President Joseph E. Aoun and the Board of Trustees host
faculty, students, staff and alumni during the official naming ceremony of the
new D'Amore-McKim School of Business, formerly the College of Business
Administration, in Blackman Auditorium. Northeastern alumni Richard D'Amore,
BA'76, and Alan McKim, MBA'88, joined forces to make the largest philanthropic
investment in the university’s history.

President Aoun hosts Washington reception
President Joseph E. Aoun hosted a reception in Washington for members of Congress, Department of Education leaders, faculty and alumni. Earlier in the day, Aoun chaired his first American Council on Education meeting, and later met with lawmakers on issues important to higher education.

President Joseph E. Aoun joined fellow members of the Homeland Security Academic Advisory Council and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano at the council's first meeting on March 20 in Washington, D.C.
