A typical program of study at Northeastern would include:
Biology, Chemistry, Math, and Physics (BCMP)
- 2 semesters of Introductory Biology with labs
- 2 semesters of General Chemistry with labs
- 2 semesters of Organic Chemistry with labs
- 2 semesters of Physics with labs
- 1 semester of Genetics and Molecular Biology with lab
- 1 semester of Biochemistry with lab
- 2 semesters of Math (e.g., calculus 1 and/or Calculus 2 plus statistics)
Social Science and Humanities
- 2 semesters of English (Writing and Literature)
- 2 semesters of behavioral sciences (Psychology and Sociology)

This program is intended to provide a basic foundation for PreHealth students and includes preparation in subject areas that will be tested in the new 2015 MCAT. You, the student, is responsible for researching specific post-graduate programs and target schools of interest and for working with the advisor in your major to determine an appropriate course of study.
