Are you a political junkie studying the intersection of policy and communications? Are you passionate about making a positive difference in local communities? Do you want to gain political communications experience without relocating to Washington, D.C.?

We have the perfect internship for you! Boston-based Schneider Associates, a full-service public relations and integrated marketing communications agency that specializes in launching products, services, companies and communities, is seeking public affairs interns immediately to assist a growing practice area to handle the busy election season.

For more than a decade, Schneider Associates has been a leader in designing and executing successful multi-faceted public affairs campaigns. We apply the political campaign model to private-sector economic development initiatives. Our campaigns typically include using political and legislative research, sophisticated media relations, voter targeting, influencer and stakeholder outreach and social media activation.

Public affairs internship candidates must be hard-working, detail-oriented and passionate about politics, media and campaigning. Political science, communications, public policy and business majors preferred. Prior political campaign, public affairs or digital influence experience required.

Internships are granted competitively by merit. Paid internships may be offered to candidates with strong prior public affairs experience. Interns must receive college credit and work a minimum of 16 hours per week. Positions are available for the fall 2012 semester.

If you are interested in joining our public affairs team, please forward your resume, cover letter and at least one writing/research sample to:
