PhD Alum Lands Position in Japan
September 13, 2012David Green (PhD'12) has just been appointed as an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Nagoya University, ranked among Japan’s top 10 universities for many years. His appointment begins on December 1st, 2012. In April, he defended his dissertation, Local Autonomy Versus Central Domination: An Examination of Japanese Immigration Policy. Professor Suzanne Ogden chaired his dissertation committee. Also serving on the committee were Professor Michael Dukakis and Professor Dairokuno from Meiji University in Tokyo, Japan.
While at Northeastern University, David established a reputation first as a top-notch Teaching Assistant and then as a teacher of record for courses such as International Relations, Comparative Politics, Research Methods, and Quantitative Techniques.
