NU Delegation at Climate Talks in Durban South Africa
December 14, 2011
Professor Denise Garcia led a Northeastern Delegation to the United Nations Climate Change Summit on December 3, 2011, in Durban, South Africa. Garcia is the Sadeleer research scholar at NU, and the generosity of the Sadeleer family is what enabled her participation. She was accompanied by Ketty Rosenfeld, Director of International Cooperative Education, to this landmark summit negotiation. In the past, Garcia led a fifteen people delegation to the 2009 summit in Copenhagen. This most recent trip to Africa was part of her field work to her third book project: "Global Governance of International Security in the 21st Century".
