Internship with the Department of Public Health in Brookline

Several directed study/internship placement opportunities exist for the 2014-2015 academic year at the Brookline Department of Public Health. Well-qualified graduate students are sought to work on a variety of projects under the direction Chris Chanyasulkit, Ph.D, MPH, Human Services Specialist in Brookline, and adjunct Professor at Babson College.
Internship/directed study opportunity in:
Public Health/Human Services – Assist in the development of public awareness campaigns, programs, and policies for domestic violence prevention, substance abuse prevention, women’s health issues, diversity/inclusion, and hoarding mediation. Learn how to assist individuals apply for health insurance and other government entitlements. Assist in campaigns for social justice and implementing programs that celebrate and promote community diversity.
The position requires approximately 12-15 hours per week, and include a stipend. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, computer ability, and website management and updating skills required for all positions. All students will be responsible for a specific project, among other duties.
