Looking for a short-term, but energetic internship? With about one month until Boston’s Municipal Election, there is still time join Team Flaherty as they continue to reach out to voters across the city to elect Michael Flaherty to the Boston City Council!

Michael Flaherty, candidate for Boston City Council At Large, is seeking campaign interns who are motivated, organized, and eager to jump into an exciting election season.

Ideal candidates will be reliable, possess communication skills, and have an interest in politics. Previous campaign experience is a plus but not necessary.

Interns will be exposed to all facets of a competitive citywide campaign, working directly on communications and field organization. This internship is an excellent resume builder prior to the 2014 and 2016 election cycles and comes during one of Boston’s most pivotal elections.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Voter Contact – phone banks, canvassing, standout visibility
  • Volunteer recruitment
  • Working with VoteBuilder database
  • Assistance with event planning and preparation
  • Other clerical duties as necessary

Interns will be expected to work 8-10 hours per week. Hours are flexible based on your schedule and may include evenings and weekends.

Work will begin immediately and continue through Election Day, November 5th.

They are located at 190 Old Colony Ave in South Boston, a short walk from both Andrew and Broadway stations on the Red Line. Street parking is also available.
