Mike Lake, democratic candidate for Lt. Governor, is offering fellowships for students seeking an opportunity for leadership and development. This is an opportunity to work for a candidate that represents a new generation of political leadership and commitment to public service! Additionally, the depth of managerial skills gained through work in a political campaign is transferrable to other fields. Our campaign team hopes to ready students for their futures as leaders.

DEPUTY DATABASE MANAGER FELLOW

The deputy database manager fellow will be expected to work 20-40 hours a week on the campaign and work with the campaign staff in a number of different ways, including:

  1. Ensure the campaign database is up to date

  2. Attend trainings on behalf of the campaign to learn new skills in database management

  3. Delegate data entry tasks to volunteers

  4. Help maintain the campaign database and other logistical day-to-day tasks of the campaign

  5. Have fun!

EVENTS DIRECTOR FELLOW

The events director fellow will be expected to work 20-40 hours a week on the campaign and work with the campaign staff in a number of different ways, including:

  1. Communicate with local organizers about upcoming events in their towns

  2. Help organize and execute campaign events

  3. Work on budgets for campaign events

  4. Help to promote campaign events

  5. Have fun!

DEPUTY FIELD DIRECTOR FELLOW

The deputy field director fellow will be expected to work 20-40 hours a week on the campaign and work with the campaign staff in a number of different ways, including:

  1. Communicate and follow-up with local organizers

  2. Act as a resource for local organizers

  3. Delegate tasks to local organizers and oversee their work

  4. Join Mike at events to meet supporters and talk to them about Mike and his campaign.

  5. Have fun!

DEPUTY FINANCE DIRECTOR FELLOW

The deputy finance director fellow will be expected to work 20-40 hours a week on the campaign and work with the campaign staff in a number of different ways, including:

  1. Assist with financial strategy

  2. Schedule and assist in leading finance committee meetings

  3. Help organize and execute campaign fundraising efforts

  4. Follow-up with the finance committee and those working on fundraisers

  5. Have fun!

DEPUTY VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR FELLOW

The deputy volunteer coordinator fellow will be expected to work 20-40 hours a week on the campaign and work with the campaign staff in a number of different ways, including:

  1. Communicate with local organizers about volunteer opportunities

  2. Coordinate volunteers to join Mike at events

  3. Help organize and delegate tasks to volunteers

  4. Help with other logistical day-to-day tasks of the campaign

  5. Have fun!

CANDIDATE’S PERSONAL AIDE

The candidate’s personal aides will be expected to work 20-40 hours a week (including some nights and weekends) on the campaign and work with the campaign staff in a number of different ways, including:

  1. Join Mike at events to meet supporters and talk to them about Mike and his campaign

  2. Take pertinent notes at events and report them to campaign staff

  3. Research important information about events the candidate attends

  4. Help with other logistical day-to-day tasks of the campaign as they pertain to the candidate
