LPP Alumnus Named Chief Academic Officer of Idaho State Board of Education

Dr. Christopher Mathias, a graduate of our Law & Public Policy program, was recently hired as Chief Academic Officer by the Idaho State Board of Education.

Mathias previously worked as the Policy Manager in the Office of the President at Boise State University. He has also taught undergraduate law and policy courses here at Northeastern and graduate courses at Boise State University and Vermont Law School.

The Idaho State Board of Education (SBOE) is a policy-making body for all public education in Idaho and provides general oversight and governance for public K-20 education. SBOE serves as the Board of Trustees for state-sponsored public four year colleges and universities and the Board of Regents for the University of Idaho.
