The Physics Department at Northeastern University has a broad array of research programs. These programs are subdivided into theoretical and experimental areas.  Within the theory area, there is strong activity in particle physics, condensed matter, materials, biological physics and network science.  The experimental laboratories in our department are primarily focused on nanophysics, biological physics, and particle physics.  There are also several Research Centers, based within the physics department. Our Centers bring together individuals from various disciplines to focus on complex systems, network theory, and electronic materials. Please take a moment and browse through the various research programs we offer.
