Graduate Research

The Department of Physics at Northeastern University provides opportunities for graduate students to engage in research and scholarship under the direction of an internationally recognized faculty. Students have a choice of programs in advanced theoretical or experimental research in condensed matter physics, biological physics, medical physics, or elementary and particle physics. Thesis research can also be undertaken in interdisciplinary areas such as materials physics, chemical physics, or applied engineering physics.
