The interplay of disorder and interactions is crucial to understanding the Metal-Insulator Transition in Two-Dimensional Electron Systems. We discuss some recent results on resistivity and magneto-conductance measurements in this regime in Si-MOSFETs. The agreement with Punnoose-Finkel’stein theory on the metallic side is exact (with no fitting parameters). We also discuss recent higher temperature electron transport results in the strongly correlated regime and make a qualitative comparison with theory for liquid He3.
