The large particle accelerators for high energy physics fascinate both scientists and the general public with their size and complexity. But there are thousands of smaller accelerators in use around the world for industrial and medical applications that can go unnoticed. I will discuss how accelerators benefit medicine by highlighting isotope production used for diagnostic imaging.
