Hey there! My name is Anne-Marie (Anne, AM) and when I am not conducting the band, I’m rocking out on the clarinet. I’m a 4th year Business Major, with concentrations in Marketing and Finance, from LaGrange, NY. I am a goalie on the club hockey team, so if you ever need to find me, Matthews is probably your best bet. My other on-campus activities include commentating for GoNUxstream, and giving tours to prospective students as part of the Husky Ambassadors. My favorite song that we play in PB is definitely “You Can Call Me Al”.
Brendan is a Junior Physical Therapy student from Hamden, CT. He plays clarinet in the Pep Band, and was a 4 year member of the Concert and Pep Bands in high school. In his free time, he enjoys playing Ultimate Frisbee and Pokemon.
Erika is a Middler Civil Engineering Major from Stonington, CT. She plays clarinet in the Pep Band and Wind Ensemble. As Secretary, she is in charge of sending out e-mails to the Band, taking attendance at athletic events, and updating the Facebook and Twitter accounts. In addition to music, she enjoys hiking, reading, and crocheting. If you have any questions regarding the band, contact her at email@example.com.
Andrew Frederick is a Senior Journalism major from Killingworth, Connecticut. He plays alto saxophone in the pep band, but can also play the guitar and — to a lesser extent — piano. As Librarian, his responsibilities include managing, scanning, printing and consolidating the band’s extensive sheet music collection. In his spare time, he can be found at a basketball court or with his nose buried in a good book.
Originally hailing from Kingston, New Hampshire, Justin now resides with the Spirit of Massachusetts. A third-year pharmacy student, Justin joins the Pep Band on tuba, and tries to squeeze in practice time on the piano at home. Justin enjoys many things, among them: Pokémon, Battlestar Galactica, cribbage, sandwiches, poorly received puns, manual transmissions, and trains. As Treasurer, he handles reimbursements, instrument purchases, and the NUPB secret service.
Nathan Shuart is a Middler Business Major from Atlanta Georgia. He Plays Tenor Sax in the Pep Band and Concert Band. As co-manager he is in charge of instruments and equipment owned by the school and ensuring they are being properly used and cared for. In his free time he enjoys movie marathons, cooking, and reading.
This is Alaric. (You can call me Al.) Al plays Alto Saxophone, and he, along with Nathan, co-manages pep band equipment like instruments and attire. Al is an animator by schooling and an adventurer by calling. And all that that entails. And of course, Al is a huge hockey fan who bleeds black and red.
Andy Curran is a junior Political Science major (conc. in Public Policy & Administration) from Saugerties, New York. He has played trumpet and slide whistle in the pep band since his first semester. As Events Coordinator, he organizes recruitment, fundraising and social functions. He likes all-nighters, topical jokes, root beer, and the New York Rangers. If you’ve got a bright idea for an event, he can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Malcolm Collins-Sibley is a Sophomore Computer Engineering and Computer Science Student from Alliance, Ohio. He plays the tenor saxophone in the Pep Band along with Baritone sax on occasion. As webmaster he will be updating the Pep Band website on a regular basis. Outside of Pep Band he is interes… wait, is there even life outside of Pep Band..?
