The unofficial theme song of the NU Pep Band and NU Hockey fans everywhere, Stacy’s Mom!
Welcome to the Northeastern University Pep Band website! Here you can find information such as what songs we play, what games we play at, and how you can become involved. Check out the Leadership tab to see the faculty leaders of the Pep Band as well as the Pep Band student council, or go to the Policies tab to find out what we wear at each athletic event. If you have any questions, you can e-mail them to email@example.com.
Our band has over 100 members from all different years and majors. During the regular season, we play at all home Men’s Hockey, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, and Women’s Volleyball games. More information on athletics schedules, rosters, and more at GoNU.com. You can watch all of these athletic events and more on GONUxstream.
There are currently over 80 selections in our continually evolving repertoire. Covering showtunes, early rock-and-roll hits, ska, funk, modern rock, home-team favorites, classic rock songs, to modern pop charts, and almost everything in between, the Pep Band is always ready to fire up the crowd. In concert with the NZone and the DogHouse the students-only sections for Basketball and Hockey – the Band lends its voice cheering the Huskies on to victory.
During the Spring Semester, we also have the opportunity to travel to tournaments and support our teams if they are not playing at home. The band has traveled to Richmond, VA and Baltimore, MD for the Men’s Basketball tournament, to Washington DC for the Women’s Basketball team, and recently Pittsburgh, Penn for the NCAA March Madness tournament! We also play at the Men’s Beanpot tournament at TD Garden in February.
In the fall we have rehearsals for the first two months of the school year usually on Monday nights, and in the spring we have a few rehearsals on Sundays for people just joining the band or coming back from Co-op. There will be signs posted around campus for the dates of these rehearsals, but also check our Facebook and Twitter accounts for more information.
