Overnight Parking

A limited number of semester/law quarterly overnight parking decals are available for an additional fee. Preference is given to those students requiring a car for Coop or Clinical. First year students are NOT eligible to purchase an overnight parking permit. The fee is in addition to your current day parking decal. Both decals must be displayed at all times. Overnight parking is restricted to the North Lot, Columbus Surface Lot and the Renaissance Park Garage after 5:00pm. Cars remaining in the lots without overnight parking decals after the designated closing times may be towed at the owner's expense.

NOTE: In order to park your vehicle after 2:00am in the North Lot, Renaissance Park Garage (except when the weekend guest policy is in effect in the Renaissance Park garage.) or the Columbus Surface Lot, your vehicle must display a Day & Overnight Parking decal. If your vehicle does not display an overnight decal, you may be subject to additional hourly parking fees upon exiting the garage or your vehicle may be towed at the owner's expense.

There is NO overnight parking allowed in the Columbus Garage. The Columbus Garage closes at 11:00pm. Any vehicle left in the garage after closing may be towed at the owner's expense.

The University does not assume responsibility or liability for any loss property or damage associated with a vehicle being towed.

Snow Emergency Policy for Overnight Permit Holders:

Whenever the City of Boston declares a snow emergency, the snow emergency will apply to all holders of overnight parking permits. The declaration of a snow emergency will impact Northeastern University by prohibiting vehicles with overnight permits from parking in any surface lot. During declared snow emergencies, overnight permit holders will be required to move their vehicle to the Renaissance Park Garage. The snow emergency policy will remain in effect until lifted by the City of Boston.

The City of Boston announces snow emergencies on all the major radio and television stations in the city. It is the responsibility of overnight permit holders to listen to the major radio and television stations for the announcements whenever snow is expected.

Parking overnight in the Renaissance Park Garage is available only to Students, Faculty and Staff whose vehicle displays a valid overnight parking permit.

Vehicles left parked in the surface lots during a declared snow emergency are subject to being towed without warning and at the owner's expense. The University does not assume responsibility or liability for any loss property or damage associated with a vehicle being towed.

The University does not assume responsibility or liability for any loss property or damage associated with a vehicle being towed.
