It is mandatory for all transfer students to attend a one day orientation session before they start at Northeastern. A non-refundable $350 New Student Fee will be posted to your first semester bill. This fee includes student orientation costs (including the opportunity to have two complimentary guests participate in the Parent Program which runs simultaneously to the Student Program), the automatic membership of your parents into the Parents Association; receiving regular communication on the University throughout the year, and Welcome Week activities.

Check-in/Check-Out Times and Location
All students and guests should check-in at the Curry Student Center Indoor Quad, from 7:00-7:30am. 

Welcome Week
Once on campus, you will experience Welcome Week--a week dedicated to our new students in which we provide an array of academic, social, athletic, and cultural programs, and a host of opportunities to explore and experience your new campus and community.

Move-In
For those residing on campus, you can move into your assigned housing on Wednesday, January 4. Housing Services will send your housing assignment, roommate assignment, and additional move-in information in December.

International Students
In addition to participating in New Student Orientation that precedes the start of the semester, international students are also invited to take part in a comprehensive introduction program, hosted by the International Student and Scholar Institute (ISSI). Activities include cultural enrichment programming, information sessions, immigration advising, regional excursions, intercultural/diversity education seminars, and workshops on topics ranging from academic success to student life.
