Transfer Program
It is mandatory for all transfer students who are beginning in the fall to attend a one-day orientation session the summer before they start at Northeastern. You’ll review your academic history, plan your academic program, and confirm financial arrangements. You’ll also meet current Northeastern students and other new transfer students. A non refundable $350 new student fee will be posted to your fall semester bill. This fee includes program costs, meals, Welcome Week activities and the opportunity to have two complimentary guests participate in the Parent Program which runs simultaneously to the Student Program.
Check-in/Check-out Times and Location
On the day of the program all students and guests should check-in at the Curry Student Center, Indoor Quad from 7:00-7:45am. Check-out begins at 3:00pm in the same location.
Parents electing to arrive early to summer orientation may participate in this option for an additional fee. Participants receive an additional overnight accommodation and meal (prior to 7 pm) for the night before your orientation session.
For those who have chosen the Early Arrival option, check-in time is from 5:00-9:00pm. Parents may check in at the West Village E residence hall lobby, and students may check in at the Speare hall residence lobby the evening prior to your session.
Please note: Students that enroll at Northeastern without attending their mandatory orientation session will be charged $50 to their account, in addition to the new student fee.
