Hello NUSO!

Tonight we have orchestra rehearsal at 6:00 pm as usual. Please get there a little early so we can start by 6:00 pm. Copies of music will be handed out tonight for you to take home and practice with. (And please do practice your parts!)

Official NUSO T-shirts will be sold at rehearsal again tonight! Bring $10 with you if you’d like to purchase one.

Tour is fast approaching (February 17th) and if you’d like to join last minute please contact our Tour coordinator, Hailey.

Tonight we have orchestra rehearsal from 6:00-8:30 pm as usual.
If you are a new member dues will be collected starting tonight. Dues are $25 per semester and it goes towards music, instruments, and the orchestra concerts.
We have an open spot on the E-board as manager and will be holding elections tonight! Contact woturski@gmail.com if  you are interested and check out the Constitution (under documents tab) if you are curious as to what the manager is responsible for.

Welcome back orchestra members! Its a new year and a new semester which means a new season of orchestra is starting. Our first rehearsal is TONIGHT! It’s very soon so you might forget but please show your support tonight. Rehearsal starts tonight at 6:00 pm and runs to 8:30 pm.

CONGRATULATIONS to everyone in the orchestra for putting on an excellent and wildly successful concert. (We had close to 300 people there!) Thank you for your time and effort and thank you to all the family and friends who attended.

Now that it’s Finals Week and most of us are busy studying, take a break for some free food and games at WINTERFEST this Sunday, December 11th located in the Curry Student Center on the 3rd floor McLeod Suites.

If your wondering about next semester, the first rehearsal is Tuesday, January 10th. Hope to see you there! Have a relaxing break, happy holidays and a great new year!

Hello Orchestra, are you ready?

Tape your music and look over you parts because tomorrow night is our Fall COncert!

Call time os 6:15 for orchestra members so please be there on time. 

We will rehearse Sibelius first then Tchiakovsky, and will be performing Tchaikovsky first, followed by intermission, then Sibelius.

Tell all your friends and family to come and support the orchestra and join us at UNO’s after for dinner.

Tuesday, November 1st will be a full orchestra rehearsal. We will be playing Tchaikovsky at 6:00 and the third movement of Sibelius at 7:15 pm.

HELLO NUSO!

This Sunday, October 23rd NUSO will be having our annual UNOS FUNDRAISER. NUSO raises funds that go towards events, activities, socials, and trips for the orchestra. This weekend is Parent’s Weekend so if your family is in town or just want to eat with friends, come on over! There will be free food with the attached flier, so come on over and support the orchestra!

The address of the UNO’s we are going to is 280 HUntington Ave, just past the New England Conservatory and across the street from Panera Bread.

Haley (jurkiwicz.h@husky.neu.edu) NUSO’s amazing events coordinator will be there, so if you have any questions contact her. And if you don’t have a flier an email was sent out with it attached.

We will be having rehearsal this Tuesday 10/18

At  6:00 pm, ONLY THE STRINGS ARE NEEDED for practicing SIbelius.
And at 7:45 pm, the FULL ENSEMBLE will rehearse Tchaikovsky.

REMEMBER TO BRING DUES! $25 for one semester in NUSO and $40 for two semesters in NUSO. Your dues are used to keep NUSO an operating and fun organization. Thank you, and look forward to see you all Tuesday!
