Physical Therapists promote oral health care

Congratulations to Dr. Kristin Greenwood, Assistant Clinical Professor, and Dr. Alycia Markowski, Associate Clinical Professor, from the Department of Physical Therapy at Northeastern University,  for receiving the AAOMPT 2015 First Place Prize for the presentation entitled, “Examining physical therapy students’ ability to evaluate findings from an oral health screening in evaluation and management of the temporomandibular joint”.  

In addition, Dr. Greenwood and Dr. Markowski have been accepted to present  “An Educational Module and Simulation Experience to Promote Oral Health Screening and Interprofessional Collaboration in a Musculoskeletal Curriculum”  at the Combined Sections Meeting of the American Physical Therapy Association in Anaheim California February 2016. In the upcoming year, Dr. Greenwood and Dr. Markowski will continue this project in an effort to promote oral health care among physical therapists.
