In partnership with Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, we are thrilled to announce the start of Northeastern’s first oral health and primary care student co-operative education program! This six-month co-op experience will begin January 1st, where a Bouvé student will work as part on an interprofessional team to assist in the delivery of patient-centered health care. Building upon the more than 100-year history of experiential learning at Northeastern University, our program has designed a unique co-op experience that serves to link interprofessional education and collaborative practice while contributing to the goals of the community. Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program is an integrated oral health and primary care clinic that provides much needed health care for the homeless population of the greater Boston area.  We anticipate that this co-op experience will be far reaching as our students, graduates, faculty and clinicians integrate oral health promotion and disease prevention interventions into primary and community-based care.
