The IOH Team recently attended the 2015 American Dental Education Association (ADEA) Annual Conference, held in Boston, MA.  Dr. Maria Dolce presented two oral seminars: Teaching Oral Health to Physician Assistant Students through Interprofessional Learning, co-presented with Denise Rizzolo, a Physician Assistant Professor at Seton Hall University; and Designing Interprofessional Community Service-Learning for Medical-Dental Collaborative Practice. Dr. Dolce also presented a poster in collaboration with Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Teaching Oral health to Physician Assistant Students through Interprofessional Learning. With more than 85 in the audience between the two seminars, we were excited to see familiar faces and spark positive exchanges between attendees.

In addition to these sessions, Jessica Holloman, Program Director of IOH, attended the William J. Gies Awards Ceremony and the ADEA/Crest Oral-B Laboratories Scholarship Ceremony with colleagues from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. We were also pleased to provide a tour of the Arnold S. Goldstein Simulation Suite to UNC Chapel Hill School of Dentistry Associate Professor, Shannon Mitchell and graduate student, Anna Hilla. Our Program was also proud to sponsor the attendance of two Northeastern students: Eileen Wuerthele, RN, a Northeastern University pediatric nurse practitioner student and graduate teaching assistant, and Chardai Lyde, a fourth-year health science student who is interested in pursuing a career in dentistry.
