On October 15th, Bouvé College of Health Sciences hosted the 8th Annual Health Fair and Flu Clinic. Students and faculty were invited to receive free flu shots and donate blood between viewing the multitude of health and wellness booths setup in the Curry Student Center. Our oral health booth featured educational flyers regarding oral hygiene, HPV and oral cancer, smoking cessation, and the benefits of sugar-free chewing gum with xylitol. Some 60 students stopped by to pick up our tote bags which each contained a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, and Orbit chewing gum. We were happy to see so many students across various disciplines express interest in learning more about oral health promotion and disease prevention.
