Master of Science in Criminal Justice Leadership
This 24-month online degree offers a path to excellence in the leadership of law enforcement, courts, private security, and corrections organizations.
Increasingly, criminal justice and security agencies are pressured by their constituents to provide efficient and effective services, be transparent in their interactions with the public and be responsive to changing local, national, and world conditions. Justice system leaders must have a worldview that can be made effective in local settings. These same leaders need to think strategically, communicate locally, and act ethically while developing comprehensive, often multi-jurisdictional solutions to crime and terrorism problems.
The Master of Science in Criminal Justice Leadership, offered through the College of Professional Studies in conjunction with the College of Criminal Justice, is an academically distinctive program, emphasizing themes of leadership, communication, and ethics, with a goal of enhancing the leadership qualities and ultimate career prospects of criminal justice professionals.
