Study Abroad Reflection

Students are required to participate in the "Study Abroad Reflection" on blackboard. Students will be registered for a blackboard site according to their host country and program type (internship, service-learning, traditional semester, etc.). Students are asked to submit entries on the blackboard discussion prior to their departure, during their semester abroad, and upon return. They will also be required to comment on other students' posts. Failure to complete this requirement will result in the student not having completed their study abroad requirements (their grades will not be posted and they will receive a failing grade for their study abroad placeholder course). The following must be completed in order for a students' study abroad grades to be posted to their NU transcript:

• Blackboard Reflection Assignments
• Volunteer & Evaluation Forms
• Transcript from host University (All transcripts will be sent to our office automatically except for AUC. AUC students are required to submit a transcript Request Form directly to AUC).

OISP Also recommends that you keep a journal during your time abroad as a way to further reflect on your experience. A journal will serve as a great keepsake of your experience!

• You can buy any type of journal that you like or even use a spiral notebook. Keep in mind that you might want to travel with it, so nothing too large or expensive.
