Students studying at Simon Faser University (SFU) have the opportunity to learn about the politics, history, and cultures of Canada and the Pacific Rim countries from the visually spectacular and culturally exciting area of Vancouver. Campus clubs, cultural events, museums, sports facilities, and other recreational events allow students to enjoy life on campus, in addition to their course studies.
Students may choose from S.F.U's entire catalog. Courses taken abroad may satisfy college and departmental core requirements. Students should consult with their advisor to discuss the specific requirements that may be satisfied abroad.
Vancouver, located in the Pacific North West region, is one of the fastest growing cities in Canada. The city offers numerous restaurants, museums, night life, and entertainment opportunities, as well as some of the world's most picturesque landscapes. Vancouver is conveniently located near the ocean and mountains.
SFU is located in the town of Burnaby atop Burnaby Mountain. It is less than 16 kilometers from downtown Vancouver and easily accessible via public transportation. Students can take courses from over 100 academic programs within five faculties: Applied Sciences, Arts, Business Administration, Education, and Science. More than 60 countries are represented in a student body of 17,000 undergraduate and graduate students.
All students live in fully furnished residence hall accommodations provided by SFU. Students share "townhouse" style accommodations with other SFU students. Meals are not included in the program. Kitchen facilities are available allowing you to prepare your own meals.
Full-time Northeastern student, 2.5 GPA, and middler (third) year or above.

$19,400 per Semester for the 2009/2010 academic year. Includes: tuition, roundtrip airfare via Boston, International Student Identification Card, SOS International Assistance, UPass, Orientation fees, Recreation packet. Housing and Meals are not included.
