Course Description: INTL 4939 CONTENT: Venezuela famous for its oil industry, its love of baseball and salsa music, is presently at the forefront of the wave of progressive governments in Latin America, it is the epicenter of the battle of ideas. Some believe it to be the birthplace of a new Pan American patriotic movement that seeks the unity of Latin American countries and aims to amend the social injustice, improve economical conditions and put an end to the exclusion of large sectors of the population.
