Cooperative Education
(Fall 2008)
Northeastern's model of practice-oriented education encourages undergraduate students to gain professional workplace experience during their years at Northeastern, an opportunity nearly all students seize. This experience is supported by classroom curriculum designed to integrate theoretical concepts and practical applications.
Northeastern's cooperative education program allows students to alternate periods of classroom study with periods of paid, professional employment related to their major. On average, approximately 5,000 Northeastern students work in co-op jobs offered by more than 2,000 employers.
