                         Program Assistant

Off Campus Student Services seeks to serve as a communication link for students living off campus.  Our aim is to address the unique needs of this student population and to offer information, resources and materials regarding off campus living issues.

The Program Assistant will assist in the following areas: 

  • Creating and executing services and programs to enhance the experience of off campus students.
  • Promoting and developing stronger links in the surrounding community and neighborhoods.
  • Creating office publications.
  • Building off campus relations for the benefit and advocacy of off campus students.
  • Assisting the office staff in daily operation of the office.

Graduate Assistant Position

Job Description: The Graduate Assistant will work closely with the Director of Off Campus Student Services in the implementation of new initiatives, program planning, outreach, and assessment of new services for off-campus students.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise students on the process of searching and leasing off-campus apartments. Present educational workshops.
  • Develop programs to encourage off-campus students to remain connected to campus and the neighborhoods in which they live.
  • Research services and best practices at other institutions for program ideas applicable to Northeastern University.
  • Create relevant literature for distribution to off-campus students. Promote office programs and services.
  • Collaborate with campus and community groups to plan events and encourage cooperative community-student relations.
  • Develop needs assessment tools and evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Coordinate meetings of Off Campus Advisory Board.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing degree in College Student Development, Higher Ed Administration, or related program.
