BOS10 Conference

High School/College Fair

On Friday, we will hold two fairs. As our conference has grown, we have found it is sometimes difficult to see all of the people who need to be seen. These fairs are a way to connect admission representatives with counselors. During the first hour of the fair, high school representatives will stand behind tables and the college representatives will have the chance to walk around and learn about the secondary institutions represented at the conference. If you're a high school counselor, you'll want to bring copies of your school profile and business cards. Please do not plan to distribute more than a business card or a single small brochure or profile. Past experience has found that most people do not have the inclination (or room in their luggage) to take larger items.

During the second hour and fifteen minutes, we will ask college representatives to go behind the tables and be available for the secondary representatives. That way should there be a high school counselor who did not connect with an admission representative at a college of interest, the counselor will be able to make a connection. Again, we would encourage you not to bring quantities of materials, but rather to have one or two display copies of your materials for your table. International counselors deeply appreciate it if you offer to take their business cards and later mail a packet of materials.
