Manage an Account

All NUWeb accounts have 1 administrative contact who must be a current Northeastern Faculty or Staff member. All requests to manage nuweb accounts from the administrative contact of the account.

Request a Custom URL

Custom URLs are available by request via this form only to NU colleges, departments, student groups and faculty.

If do not already have an account on the NUWeb server , please request a new account. Please do not complete this form until you have an NUWeb account.

Change My Password

If you know your password and you’d like to change it, please follow these directions:

  1. Log on to the server via SSH.
  2. At the prompt, type “passwd” and hit enter. You will then be prompted for a new password.

If you do not remember your password, please submit a request to webgroup@neu.edu from your NEU email account and include your NUWeb username in the request. This email MUST be sent from the administrative owner (a current faculty or staff member) of the account.

Renew My Account

ALL NUWeb accounts MUST be renewed annually. All web site administrative contacts will receive an email in September requesting renewal for that year. If a response to that email is not received, your account and your web site will be deleted.

Delete My Account

To request deletion of your account and web site files, please send email to webgroup@neu.edu from your NEU email account and include your NUWeb username in the request. This email MUST be sent from the administrative owner (a current faculty or staff member) of the account.
