in the United Kingdom. As Northeastern continues to expand its global footprint well beyond the confines of its Boston campus, we are excited to offer a number of exciting events in the UK and we hope that you can join us.
Join university President Joseph E. Aoun, Senior Vice President for Advancement Diane MacGillivray, and Vice President of Alumni Relations and The Northeastern Fund, Jack Moynihan, MPA'93, for a series of gatherings to help celebrate the university's growing presence in the United Kingdom.The events, scheduled from June 30 - July 7, 2013, provide an exciting opportunity to meet fellow members of the Northeastern community in the UK and university administrators.

NU in the UK Reception
Please join President Joseph E. Aoun for a fun and spirited event to kick off Northeastern University’s exciting week in London. Alumni, students, parents, and guests are invited to Bury Court to celebrate with the Men’s Rowing Team before their week of competition in the Henley Royal Regatta. Meet 13th year Head Coach John Pojednic and members of the crew and wish them luck in their races. With over 350 alumni, students, and parents who live and work in the greater London area, this is a perfect opportunity to build the Northeastern network across the pond, while sharing in the university’s historic athletic achievement.
Members of the Northeastern administration will also be on hand to meet with attendees. Bury Court is a contemporary city wine bar and restaurant located in the shadow of the St. Mary’s Axe (commonly known as the Gherkin) and near such attractions as the Tower of London and The London Bridge. There will be plenty of canapés, drinks, and Husky spirit to go around.

Vintage Double Decker Bus Tour
Followed by Champagne Tea at Harrods
Join fellow Huskies in London as we tour the city on Harrod’s famous vintage double decker bus. The former 1960’s routemaster has been beautifully restored and is the perfect way to experience London. You will see all the sights, including Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the London Eye, Trafalgar Square, St. Paul’s Cathedral, London Bridge and the Tower of London. This tour also includes a cruise down the scenic River Thames, which will take you past Shakespeare’s Globe, the Golden Hinde Boat and Cleopatra’s Needle. To end the afternoon tour, we head to Harrods for a Champagne tea in the classical Georgian restaurant. You will be treated to five-star service, scones, tea and a glass of champagne.
