Travel Policies & Program Deviation Forms
Policies for Travel While On-site
Students may travel to locations outside of their host cities/countries if they wish. As a safety precaution, any student who leaves their residence hall for one or more night must fill out an online Acknowledgement of Risk and Informed Consent for Program Deviation form prior to leaving and submit it to his or her N.U.in Site Director. Students must complete this form even if they are remaining in the host city (for example, they are staying in a hotel with family). The link will be made available to participants once on site.
If a participant is under 18 years old, a parent or guardian must sign this form. This can be in the form of an electronic signature or an email acknowledgement.Parental Authorization for Program Deviation
Parents and guardians may find it easier to fill out one form at the beginning of the semester authorizing their 17 year-old students to sign and submit their own Program Deviation Forms throughout the N.U.in semester abroad. N.U.in staff will make this form available to families before departure.
