Citizens of the European Union, the European Economic Area or Switzerland
Participants who are citizens of a member State of the European Union, the European Economic Area, or Switzerland DO NOT need to apply for a student visa to study in Ireland, nor will they need to register with the Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB).

Citizens of all Other Countries
Depending on their nationality, Ireland: UCD students may need to apply for a student visa to study in Dublin. Please visit the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS) to view the requirements for a student visa.

Acceptance Letter
Participants need an individualized acceptance letter to apply for their student visa. The Program sends students a copy of their acceptance letter from University College Dublin (UCD) confirming their status as a participant in the program via email. Participants should receive this letter by mid June. 

If a participant’s permanent address has changed since applying to Northeastern, or if they will be at a different address over the summer, please notify as soon as possible at
