Visas & Passports
Note: This information is current as of February 2015. For updated information, please consult with your local embassy.
Participants who hold a US passport do not need to apply for a student visa to study in Ireland. Participants must register with the Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB) within a month of entering Ireland. More details on registration can be found below, on the GNIB website, and at the on-site orientation in Dublin.
For further information and recommendations, please review our visa guide.
All N.U.in participants will need a passport. Those who do not already have a passport should apply for one as soon as possible. US Citizens can find more information at the US Department of State passport website. Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond the student's scheduled program end date.
