Visas for Ireland
Citizens of the European Union, the European Economic Area or Switzerland
Participants who are citizens of a member State of the European Union, the European Economic Area, or Switzerland DO NOT need to apply for a student visa to study in Ireland, nor will they need to register with the Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB).
Citizens of all Other Countries
Depending on their nationality, N.U.in Ireland students may need to apply for a student visa to study in Dublin. Please visit the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS) to view the requirements for a student visa.
For further information and recommendations, please see our Visa Guide below.
Participants need an individualized acceptance letter to apply for their student visa. The N.U.in Program sends students a copy of their acceptance letter from Dublin Business School (DBS) or University College Dublin (UCD) confirming their status as a participant in the program via email. Participants should receive this letter by mid June.
If a participant’s permanent address has changed since applying to Northeastern, or if they will be at a different address over the summer, please notify N.U.in as soon as possible at email@example.com.
