Take a Virtual Tour!

Ireland is extremely energy conscious and therefore electricity is provided in the form of pre-paid “credit cards."  At Blackhall Place, electricity is monitored by a meter system, provided on a pay-as-you-use basis, and should be used as moderately as possible. Some students may need to adjust to this system, as it means remembering to turn off lights, switching outlets off when not using the appliances with which they are affiliated, taking shorter showers, and layering clothing rather than turning up the heat.

Laundry facilities are located in the basement of Blackhall Place. Both wash and dry cycles cost €2.50 each, and students must provide their own detergent.

Computer Access

Students will have Wi-Fi access in their rooms and throughout the residence. Students may choose to gain access to the National Library by purchasing a Reader’s card for a nominal fee. Students can print at either DBS, UCD, or at internet cafes that can be found within a short distance of Blackhall Place. It is recommended that students plan to print during the time that they are at school.
