Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, or Other Credit

Students who have received a passing score on an Advanced Placement (AP) Exam, International Baccalaureate (IB) credit, or other college-level transferrable courses must report this during the N.U.in course registration period.  AP/IB/other college credit will be reviewed in early July.  To ensure that proper credit is received for this coursework, please follow these steps:

ASAP: Ensure that the score reports for completed exams have been sent to Northeastern University.  To verify if a copy of an AP grade report was sent to Northeastern, call College Board AP Services at (609)771-7300 or toll-free at (888)225-5427.

ASAP: Please have the final transcripts for any college-level transferrable courses sent to the admissions processing center:

By May 15: Report any credit that has been received, as well as any anticipated credit in the course registration system.  This will help N.U.in work with students’ academic advisors to recommend alternate courses.

Northeastern receives the final score reports from all AP exams in mid-July.  The N.U.in team then works with the academic advisors from each college to replace N.U.in courses for which students have received credit.
